A residential project of more than 150 units to be developed in Berlin’s Lichtenberg district together with Netherlands-based Edge.

As part of its international growth strategy, Akiş REIT has signed its first investment in Germany through Akiş Global Real Estate Investment Inc. The company has become a partner in a project of more than 150 residential units to be developed in Berlin-Lichtenberg together with Edge, one of Europe’s leading real estate development and investment companies.

Akiş Global’s project partner is Netherlands-based Edge, known for its international experience in developing sustainable, innovative and people-focused living spaces and for its significant projects across Europe. Akiş Global participated in the capital increase of the company structured to develop the project and holds a 50 percent stake. The collaboration stands out as a strong strategic partnership, bringing together Akiş REIT’s financial strength and international vision with Edge’s development expertise, local market knowledge and execution capabilities.

The project in Berlin’s Lichtenberg district will be located above one of the city’s busiest metro stations and next to one of Germany’s largest universities of applied sciences. With strong transport connections and a central location, the project aims to respond to the growing housing demand in Berlin.

With a total equity requirement of €14.7 million, the project is expected to contribute to Berlin’s housing supply while supporting the growth and appeal of the Lichtenberg district. It offers an environmentally responsible model of urban development, aligned with Berlin’s sustainable urbanisation goals.

Construction is planned to begin in 2027, with completion expected in 2029.
